Lindsay has been involved in the clean energy and low carbon sector since 2013.  She brings experience both as a private practice lawyer specialised in advising on emerging energy and low carbon projects, and as a policymaker at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (formerly BEIS).


previous experience includes:

  • DISTRICT HEATING PROJECTS – advising developers and ESCOs on the design and delivery of district heating projects, including negotiating and drafting the suite of district heating documentation (e.g. ESCO master agreements, concession agreements, customer supply agreements and private wire electricity supply agreements).

  • CLEAN ENERGY GENERATION & STORAGE PROJECTS – providing public and private sector clients with regulatory and structuring advice on decentralised energy generation and storage projects, for example in relation to electricity grid reinforcement projects, and electricity licensing requirements.

  • COMMUNITY ENERGY, ‘GARDEN CITY’ AND LOCAL NET ZERO PROJECTS – working with local authorities and private sector developers on the design and delivery of community energy, garden city and local net zero projects, for example the Langarth Garden Village in Cornwall, and a potential partner to Bristol City Council for Bristol City Leap.

  • CLEAN TECH SOLUTIONS –advising on various e-mobility and smart energy solutions including the provision of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and “vehicle to grid” projects.


previous work history

Before joining Lux Nova Partners, Lindsay was a Senior Policy Adviser at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (formerly BEIS).  Prior to that, Lindsay worked in the CleanTech team at Pinsent Masons LLP for seven years, and at CMS for five years.

  • MSc Environmental Change & Management (Distinction, Oxford University) 2014.

  • Solicitor, admitted 2010.

  • Legal Practice Course (Distinction – BPP Law School) 2007 and Graduate Diploma in Law (BPP Law School) 2006.

  • MA Geography (First Class, Cambridge University) 2005.
