Our role:
Lux Nova advising the developer on all aspects of this 10MW solar PV project, including power purchase, grid connection, construction, equity investment and project finance elements on what is the first commercial scale solar park in Jordan to become operational. Enerray S.P.A, of Italy, are the construction contractors, supplying, installing, operating and maintaining the solar panels under a full turnkey DBOM contract, developed by us and based on FIDIC Gold.
Value add:
Leveraging in-country experience: Having developed the precedent Jordanian PPA on the Tafila Wind Farm Project, we were able to quickly guide negotiations to swift conclusion on this element of the Project. The full turnkey DBOM Contract was developed and concluded quickly, with the identity of the debt funders in mind, leveraging what was “bankable” in Jurisdiction from the Tafila project.

Tafila Wind Farm (117MW), Jordan

Our role: 
Lux Nova advised on every element of the project: power purchase, construction, O&M, equity investment and project finance. We negotiated the power off-take, grid connection and Government support agreements and a full turnkey integrated Design Build Operate & Maintain contract with Vestas, the construction, operation and management contractor. We also negotiated and completed the full suite of project finance documentation with the consortium of primary lenders.

A dedicated team throughout project development helped deliver this ground breaking, first of its kind, project. The Lux Nova team worked closely with the project developer, to negotiate the first renewable energy power purchase agreement in Jordan, developing a template to be used on the roll out of projects across the country.
